Evidence That I May Not Be A Complete Failure As A Mother:

Reagan eats at least one bowl of oatmeal a day.

(And generally asks for it 2-3 more times). For example, he had a bowl this morning with apples & a dash of cinnamon. He asked for another at 11 o'clock, but I distracted him with goldfish instead. After he'd eaten a banana and yogourt and sandwich for lunch, he still wanted oatmeal. This time I added raspberries - he was crazy about the raspberries. And, surprise or no, he also had oatmeal for dinner - this time with raisins and brown sugar. Perhaps this isn't such a solid indication of non-failure, but at least it's not Twizzlers, right? (of which he is even more ecstatically and enthusiastically fond)

Oh, and then there' s the fact that he's addicted to raisins and not Raisinettes.

  1. This is a great small victory, but believe there are many, many ways you are a wonderful mother.
I am not an oatmeal fan but your sounds good. I can't say I blame Reagan!
